Orchard Elementary School
Richland, Washington
This 69,774 square foot one-story building utilizes a steel frame structure, durable CMU masonry wainscot, and EIFS (an external insulation system with stucco like finish coat) in a grid pattern with multiple colors creating visual interest. The 12.56-acre site has a large grass area with multiple play fields and a small fenced in play area with play equipment for the younger students. The school was designed and constructed under the W.S.S.P. The project also addressed improvements to adjacent neighborhood streets.
