A steel-framed two-story building on a long, thin 22-acre site; Connell Elementary had to accommodate a rather drastic change in grade across the site. To address this a two-story classroom wing with the K-2 classrooms in the daylight basement with paved and lawn play areas to the east and 3-6 grade classrooms on the upper floor with their playfields on the higher portion of the site to the west. An additional one-story wing houses the gym, music room, library, kitchen, and administrative offices. This school was also designed to the W.S.S.P standards.
